Operations Coordinates and manages all primary and support agencies of the State Animal Response Team (SART) during an animal disaster. Field Operations, Search and Rescue, Sheltering, veterinary Services, Mortality Management and Industry Specialist are all managed and coordinated under operations.
All areas of Operations will be managed under the Incident Command Master Plan (ICS). The County Animal Response Team (CART) should handle most animal emergencies on the local level. If the county is unable to manage the incident, they may request State or Federal Assistance by the local or county representative in the State Emergency Management Office. The request will be delegated to the Operations desk and will be given to the appropriate group or agency under operations.
